UNDERSTANDING DEATH AND DYING

London Mahayana Buddhist Centre
10 am - 5 pm
Saturday November 22, 2008

Death is an experience no one can avoid, yet we live our life as if it will never happen. If we arrive at death completely unprepared, surely this is one of the worst mistakes we can make in our life. By avoiding  thinking about death now, guarantees suffering later. This course will explain the distant and close signs of death, the causes of death, how to make our death meaningful, and how to help those who are dying.

Cost: $30  (non- members)  $12  (members) Course includes lunch

TRANSFORMING THE MIND RETREAT

London Mahayana Buddhist Centre

10 am - 5 pm
Saturday October 18, 2008

The quality of our mind determines whether or not we experience a happy and peaceful life or a life plagued with discontent. Unless we make some effort to improve the quality of our mind, inner peace will remain illusive and short lived. In the retreat we will meditate on the most powerful objects that are the actual cause of pure and blissful minds.

Cost: $30  (non- members)  $12  (members) Retreat includes lunch
